I think Chicago's Finest don't get their deserved props. They take care of a lot of things for the homeless that only those of us out here can recognize and thank them for.
When I first set up my location at the Plains on 53rd and Federal, the only time I was ever approached by the police was to see if my covered body still had life. I am just around the corner from the 51st street police station and I see a lot of cars, both plain and undercover, glide by. The presence, alone, is a serious deterrent to any would-be crime on this old man's battered frame.
I really appreciate it.
Even the people at Digbys Security have grown to recognize me. One lady even waves. Makes me feel good.
Speak intelligently and act civil and there should never be a problem with the authorities, wherever you live in this great land.
For those of you contemplating living outside, remember to get yourself a good bed sheet, even with a sleeping bag. There are nights that the sleeping bag will be too hot, but you might need cover from the biting insects.
On to the other subject; home and cell phone services. Click on this LINK to get some serious deals on this and other electronics. Try it, you'll like it. (and so will I!) Thanks, Bye Bye!
