Those Good Guys At Chicago Police Precinct 2..

Salute!

To those Fearless and Tough group of Officers at Precinct 2.
The ole HBM has said it once and will say it again, my hat's off to those guys.
Why that particular precinct, you might ask?
Every day, about 8:00pm, The homeless congregate around the station, waiting for 10pm, to come in and go to sleep on the cool marble floor!
About 30 people, more or less , drag themselves in and attempt to get some much-needed rest each and every night. This has been going on for years!
The Station Commander graciously opens the doors to some of the smelliest, loud-talkingest bums in the City. Needless to say, they must turn on the air conditioner, even in the Winter, to kill the air born viruses homeless people carry around with them, often unknowingly.
Those officers are tough, and they make the rest of the Finest look wimpy by comparison. Sometimes they even give us food!
They really do Rock!
And They Really Do Serve! See you next time..
