I ran across this crazy blog not too long ago and it got my imagination going!
Why not allow homeless people to have guns? I guarantee there would be fewer crimes in the Big City.
Think about it!
Not only would crime against the out-on-the-street homeless be lessened, but it follows crime period would slow to a crawl . A shriek in the dark of the night would be instantly answered by two or three nearby bums, as they come out of their cardboard boxes, masses of sheets and blankets, sleeping bags (like me), and aim the sights on a rappist, killer, robber, etc.
As more and more bums have proper weapons ( like a serious glock or such), police would have instant backup everywhere in the country.
Glory!
Yes, there would no doubt be the occassional drunk, anger, or drug type shooting, but compared to the alarming stats these days it would be very beneficial, indeed. Law inforcement would love us!

Maybe we should wrap the homeless up in bubble wrap and attach candy dishes to all the lamp posts.
